Charlotte's 24 Month Update!

Since my little Miss Mischief turned two recently, I thought it would be the perfect time for an update post! I've done quite a few of these in the past two years, and this one will probably be the last one. No need for baby updates when your child isn't actually a baby anymore...*cries hysterically*.

Height en weight
We had a doctors appointment just a few days ago, so she just got weighed and measured. How convenient is that, huh? Charlotte is now 23 pounds and 34 inches tall. She still wears size 4 (sometimes 4+) nappies and fits into 24 month clothing. She grew out of ALOT of outfits the last few months, so that means alot of shopping and putting new outfits together.

Health
Charlotte has been doing well lately! After being hospitalized 3 times in 18 months time, we're kind of done with hospitals anyway. She is still on daily medication to keep her bronchial tubes protected from infections, but other than that she's doing really good! She's running around with the energy of ten!

Development
The last few months have been crazy! She suprises me everyday with everything she knows and understands. She can speak in full sentences now and she can count to ten. She can even use her counting skills in everyday live.  'No mommy, I want two cookies!'.  She can also express how she feels. She can tell us when she's sad or when she's angry. Which is really helpful in guiding her through these emotions. It makes communicating with her so much easier. She can also draw like there's no tomorrow. She can make all kinds of different shapes and scribbles. which makes me believe her fine motorskills are also developing like they should.

Likes & Dislikes
She's really into play pretend lately. She likes to act out everything she sees us do. She's in her little play kitching making pancakes or putting her dolls to bed. And when she's not doing that she loves to play together. And she's so persuasive that she she manages to get the entire family on all fours. Haha! As far as food goes, she loves cookies, fruit and pancakes. She can be a bit of a picky  vegetable eating. Oh, and she definitely does not like to be made fun of. She'll cross her arms, put on her angry face and tell you that it's 'not funny'. Which I'm pretty sure she picked up from Peppa Pig. Oh yeah, did I mention she really likes Peppa Pig?

Well, that's it for today! I hope you all had a lovely Sunday. See you later!

Birthday Party!

I can't believe it, my little munchkin turned two today! So that obviously had to be celebratated with alot of delicious treats, presents and pink decorations! :) She was so much more aware of her birthday than she was last year. Not to mention Charlotte was hospitalized on her first birthday, so this is actually the first birthday we got to celebrate at home with friends and family. We're very thankful for that! There is nothing better than having your child home with you and in good health. That's all that matters, really! Here's a look at Charlotte's little birthday bash!

Me with the gorgeous bithday girl. She gets prettier by the day! But she's also the coolest chick I know! She's really everything I wished for, The past two years were definitely the best years of my life!

Because every birthday girl needs a cake! We went for a pink fairy princess one. It was absolutely delicious and I thought it looked very cute!

Presents! Charlotte got showered with gifts. Everyone was so generous! And you could see there really went some thought into the gifts she got. Eventhough I don't think bringing gifts is necessary, we do appreciate it very much!

Treats for her friends at the daycare centre. We went for some squeezy fruits with some custom made wrappers. No need for super unhealthy treats! And also some pink organza bags with mints for the daycare workers.

I hope everyone had a lovely Sunday! See you soon!

Shopping in Amsterdam!

Happy new year everyone! I started the new year off with a short shopping trip to Amsterdam. I didn't take a lot of pictures unfortunately. I guess I'm still a pretty big noob at this whole blogging thing... But I decided to still share this. So here we go!

The trip began at Starbucks! I had a delicious caramel latte! In my opinion every day should start like this... But unfortunately I live in a very small town and the nearest Starbucks in almost an hour away. So that detour would be a bit excessive! After visiting Starbucks we hit the centre of Amsterdam for shopping and some delicious lunch!

I bought some really cute items, especially at the Bijenkorf! They have the cutest little designer clothes and accesories for the little nuggets. I bought a cute blue Tommy Hilfiger sweater for Charlotte and a baby pink Ralph Lauren bear for friends that recently found out the gender of the baby they are expecting. I love how they wrapped the present!

But I couldn't leave without getting a little something for myself of course! I bought a lovely pink bow bracelet by Mulberry to go with the Mulberry scarf I bought in London! How cute is this bracelet? And it was one sale! Yay! :) I actually had to go back to the store to pick up a second one. Apparently a friend of mine was eying the same bracelet, so when she heard I bought one she asked me to pick one up for her as well. They must have thought I was some sort of crazy lady at the store! Haha! But that is it for all the fun and games. Tomorrow it's back to work for me again. Earning money instead of spending it! To everyone who is also starting work again tomorrow, I hope the alarm won't hurt too much in the morning! Toodles!
