Life In June!

I can't believe an entire month has passed since my 'Life In May' post, but it has! I decided to stick to these monthly picture posts for a while. So here's what we've been up to this month!

06/01/2015 - Charlotte moved to a big girl bed! She started mentioning that she wanted to sleep in a big bed like mommy and daddy, so we eventually decided she was ready. The transition went very smoothly. We put her to bed at night and when she wakes up the next morning she calls for us and asks for permission to get out of bed. Yes, it is THAT easy.

06/04/2015 - Driving to work and enjoying all this prettiness riding shotgun with me. Unfortunately LV had another price increase, so I probably won't be picking up any new items anytime soon. Oh well, more time to enjoy the items I already have!

06/08/2015 - Charlotte on vacation with her friends!

06/13/2015 - Selfie time! Experimenting with a new make-up routine!

06/13/2015 - A couple of friends invited us to the Zoo. Charlotte is checking out the pinguins in this shot and she is absolutely loving it!

06/13/2015 - Not sure what this is, but it is definitely cool looking!

06/15/2015 - Charlotte proudly showing her freshly painted nails! She loves it when mommy gives her manicures and this coral color is just perfect for summer!

06/20/2015 - Ever wondered what your kid is up to when you're at work? Well apparently something like this! I recieved this picture on my IPhone while I was in a meeting, and I just couldn't help but chuckle!

06/29/2015 - Preparing for a heat wave coming our way! In just a couple of days we'll be experiencing 98 degrees out. Holy Guacamole!

Well, that was it for this month! See you later!

A little bit of lace!

I'm joining the creative closet linkup once again this week! Interesting because this weeks prompt is about lace, which isn't my thing...at all! I like it on others, but I just don't like how it looks on me. But I guess I can survive a little bit of lace every one in a while. I picked up a top with two lace side panels a couple of weeks ago. I decided to get it because it was on sale and I was planning on wearing it underneath a blazer, so I thought nobody would see the lace anyway. But since the top is a little longer than most of my blazers, a little lace is visible. So yeah, a little bit of lace!

I paired the top with my pink blazer by Only and my dark blue velvet pants by Esprit. The pose is a bit odd, but I had very little time taking pictures of this outfit. I wore it to a wedding last weekend, and getting out of the door on time with a toddler is a challenge on it self.

Accessories! I wore my Mini Phantom watch by Guess, my pink bow bracelet by Mulberry and a pair
of heart shaped earrings. I also carried my new mini pochette by Louis Vuitton. I attached a chain I got off Ebay to wear it as a crossbody during the day, and I took the chain off in the evening to wear it as a wristlet. Such a cute and versatile little thing!

I also orded some new dark brown heels to match my mini pochette. I figured I would just wear a pair of heels I already owned, but later realised they were all pretty beaten up already and weren't very suitable to wear to a wedding. So I rushed to get these the day before the wedding. Now it probably isn't the best idea to dance the night away in heels you didn't break in yet, but luckily I survived! :)

So how about you? Do you like to rock a little bit of lace from time to time?

OOTD - Pastel Me!

I'm back with another outfit post today! I'm joining the creative closet for this week's prompt: Pastel Me! I love pastels, so I just knew I had to join this week. This is what I wore to a bacholerette party a couple of days ago. I took some quick pictures on my way out.

I'm wearing my new pastel pink summer parka by Tommy Hilfiger. I mentioned it a couple of weeks ago in a haul post, and I really have been loving it ever since. I love the color, and i love the comfy slouchy fit. I am on a quest to dress more casual, so this is a great first step for me. I paired it with a light creamy pink top by Steps and a simple white top from H&M. I am also wearing my Speedy  30 again. I love how this bag looks with lighter colored clothing. It's the ultimate bag for spring.

On my nails I am wearing Essie Fiji. This is probably my favorite nail polish right now. It's just such a clean and fresh look.  Love it!

On the bottom I'm wearing shimmery taupe ankle boots by SPM and blue velvet pants by Esprit. Yeah, velvet pants... I never would have willingly picked these out to be honest. I ordered them online and was under the impression I was ordering a  pair of jeans. When they came in I realised I made a mistake. I still thought they looked kinda cool though. And since they were on sale I decided to hang on to them. I do like the fact that they are something different.

So there you have it, my latest OOTD. Do you love pastels just as much as I do?

OOTD - Blazer and Accessories!!

Hello there! Today I'm doing something different and something that it completely out of my comfort zone. I am joining the creative closet linkup with an outfit post! I have been following these linkups from the moment they started, and I always thought it was such a clever idea! I am also one of those people who has a closet full of stuff and never anything to wear. So picking a theme and going inside my own wardrobe to style an outfit around it would make a good exercise for me.

I always told myself I would join one of these linkups one day. And than I saw this prompt pop up. I am completely blazer obsessed, so I knew it was now or never. If I didn't have the guts to join this one, I knew I would chicken out forever. So here I am, with a picture I took myself before going out for a lunch date and with a tantrum throwing toddler infront of me on the floor. My life is so glamorous, Haha! But let's get back on track here. I went for the most basic outfit ever (jeans, a white tank top and heels) and dressed it up with a blazer and a few of my favorite acccesories. So let's have a look!

The blazer is the Only Sanne Blazer in the color Dusty Pink I believe. I got it 3 years ago when I was pregnant with Charlotte. I love the color, but the material is really thick and stiff, so that it's not always the most comfortable piece to wear. For work it's absolutely fine, but for crawling over the floor with a toddler there are definitely other pieces I prefer!

Can we just acknowledge the fact that this picture looks complely blog worthy? Yes? Good! :) These these are definitely my favorite accessories to date! The watch is the Guess Mini Phantom in silver/rosé and the bracelet is the Mulberry Bow bracelet in pink. I wear these two items every single day. The bag is my favorite bag for the summer and when I'm not out with my daughter (so that pretty much means I take it with me to work during the summer months). During the winter I prefer a bag that stands rain and snow a little bit more than this one. The leather stains pretty easily. My daughter drooled on it in the first week I got it, and the stain is still visible. But that just brings character to the bag right? :) It's the Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 in Damier Azur by the way.

The scarf is the Mulberry Tamara scarf in the color oak. I purchased it last december and it's my absolute favorite scarf at the moment. It just instantly upgrades any look. Everything just looks a little more fancy when you pair it with a Mulberry scarf.  It does crinkle up a bit though, so I 'm still figuring out what to do with that. I am not supposed to iron it, but if the crinkles keep bothering it, I might just give the good 'ol iron a try anyway.

And than the rest of the outfit. The jeans are the Esprit EDC Slim Low Rise Jeans in the color cinder blue. I really love these jeans, I actually own them in a couple of different colors. They just fit my body type really well and they feel very comfortable on. The shoes I got on sale about two years ago. They were ridiculously cheap for good quality all leather shoes. I think they were the last pair and I ended up paying 20 bucks for them. They are by the brand Linea Zeta and they are very comfortable. I could walk for miles in these. And the last item (not shown in picture) is a plain white tanktop by H&M.

So, are you just as blazer obsessed as I am?

What's in my handbag?

Yes, I know! I'm pretty late to the ballgame with this one, but I just love "what's in my bag" posts. I love searching for them on the web and I have been planning to do one myself for ages. I decided to do a handbag version, because that's simply the bag I carry the most. But I might do a diaperbag version somewhere in the future. Who knows!

The Bag
The bag is a Louis Vuitton speedy 30 in damier azur. This is the handbag that I use the most right now. The light colors make it the perfect bag for this season. It's also my most recent purchase. I got it a couple of month ago and it was an early birthday present to myself. Now that may not sound very recent, but I rarely buy a new bag. I like high quality handbags and the ones I own pretty much last a lifetime, so there isn't much need to shop for a new bag too often. When I was younger I knew I wanted to own a Louis Vuitton bag one day, and since we had a couple of bucks to spare, my boyfriend gave me the green light to get one. I'm really enjoying this bag and I love it to pieces. I have absolutely no regrets about getting it what so ever, even if it was a bit of a splurge. When it's driving shotgun to work with me I have trouble keeping my eyes on the road. It's just so pretty!

The Stuff

1. My Sascha wallet. It's a full sized wallet which zipps pretty much all around, so it's great for easy access. It has a lovely bronze glow to it and subtle floral pattern. It's nothing special but it's a very functional piece and I haven't found anything I like better.
2. My Burberry DIY keychain! I wrote a post about it a couple of weeks ago. I love it to bits and I even use it as a small wallet sometimes. It's ideal for quick errands and I can just throw my cards in there and be on my way. It has my housekeys and carkeys on it, so I have everything I need all in one place.
3. Lipgloss! No girl can live without right? This is called the chocolate sexy lips gloss and it smells amazing! Lipgloss and chocolate combined, there is nothing better!
4. A simple hair tie. Always handy to have one of these around.
5. This is a bag chain I got off of Ebay. I use a handheld bag which is fine most of the time. But every once in a while I find myself in a situation where I just need an extra hand. Especially with a 1 year old running around! I just connect the hooks of this chain to the hardware on my bag and I can carry it as a crossbody bag. Ideal! And it only cost me a few dollars! Gotta love Ebay!
6. A little notebook and a pen. The notebook was a gift from my mom. I use it to make my grocery list, write down little mental notes etcetera.
7. My Iphone! And how gorgeous is this case? It actually took me longer to pick out the case than the phone! Haha! It's the beige crocodile flipcase by Guess. I think it's absolutely gorgeous!
8. My Burberry sunglasses. I had these forever. It's a very classic model, so I think I'll get quite a few more years out of these before replacing them with a newer pair.
9. And last but not least, a bottle of water! I work in a different city so I'm on the road alot. I've experienced some pretty serious traffic jams in the last couple of years, so I know the importance of carrying a bottle of water to keep myself hydrated. Especially in the summer when being on the road can be absolutely brutal!

So, there you have it! All the stuff that I carry around  with me everyday. What are the items you can't live without and are absolute bag necessities to you?

Kisses!

OOTD - Trenchcoats!

Spring is here, and that means all kind of exciting things, The sun is coming out, we get to plan all sorts of fun outdoor activities and we get to break out those cute wardrobe pieces that have been stuffed away in our closets for the last couple of month. I'm particulary excited about wearing my trenchcoat again. It's such an awsome staple piece! It goes with everything and it suitable for every occasion!

So today I went for a turquoise trenchcoat by the brand Spoom and paired it with dark blue skinnies from Vila, a silky beige top from Broadway, suede beige wedges from Tamaris, earrings from miniinthebox.com and my speedy 30 damier azur by Louis Vuitton. This will probably be my go to outfit this spring! Here are some close ups from this outfit:

For Charlotte we went for a beige trenchcoat by H&M which is simply adorable with the little bow on it! We paired it with a printed tee and brown leggings, also from H&M. Her little booties are by the brand Ugg and the headband is from some online store, I can't remember which one, sorry! And here are some close ups from her outfit:

So these are the outfits we'll probably end up wearing alot this spring! Do you have your spring wardrobe sorted yet?

Kisses!
