Mommy & Daughter OOTD - Casual Spring!

One of my favorite things about changing seasons is shopping for new seasonal pieces to add to my wardrobe. I've been wanting to make a couple of changes to my wardrobe anyway, so this was the perfect opportunity for that. My daughter is a full-blown toddler now, so my days of walking behind a stroller in high heels and a blazer are officially over. I need some casual outfits that I can wear while running after my little mischief. Those little legs can be fast I tell you!

Let's start off with Charlotte's little outfit. She is wearing a dark blue polo dress by Polo Ralph Lauren and some pink sneakers by Converse. She's grown into such a little tomgirl over the last couple of months. She loves to play soccer, run around and jump in muddy puddles. So I'm afraid we've outgrown the cute little bows and ballerina's fase... But that's okay. I think she's adorable no matter what she wears.

I'm wearing a new pair of 7/8 slim jeans by Esprit. I say 7/8, but on me they are actually a regular length, I am the size of a leprechaun apparently! And I'm also wearing a slouchy light pink longsleeve by Esprit. The fabric is very thin, so it's absolutely perfect for spring or summer. I just love shopping at Esprit, its definitely one of my favorite brands. The fit is amazing, the quality is very decent and I love how affordable their pieces are. The top was on sale and I ended up spending less than 20 bucks on it. Not bad I think!

As far as accessories go, I've kept it really basic and simple. I'm wearing my Phantom Mini Watch by Guess, rosé gold ear studs by Zinzi and a canvas spring summer 2015 tote which I got as a gift from my dear friends at Mulberry. I love how this canvas tote goes with the casual look of the entire outfit. Not something I would regularly wear, but it s great for hitting the farmers market or just as an extra shopping bag inside one of my other bags. You never know when it might come in handy.

And the sneakers...this is a really big step for me. I ve been a high heels kinda gal since I was 16, so wearing something like this will need some getting used to. The only pair of 'sneakers' I owned to this point were actually my running shoes... And not those cute pink nike's either. No, just big ol' white Asics that I got on sale last year... probably because of the fact that they are so incredibly ugly, haha! But I think these sneakers are kinda cute. They are also by Converse bu the way.

So there you have it, another mommy and daughter OOTD. It's been a while since I did one of these. So how about you? Do you have you spring collection all sorted out yet?

OOTD - Pastel Me!

I'm back with another outfit post today! I'm joining the creative closet for this week's prompt: Pastel Me! I love pastels, so I just knew I had to join this week. This is what I wore to a bacholerette party a couple of days ago. I took some quick pictures on my way out.

I'm wearing my new pastel pink summer parka by Tommy Hilfiger. I mentioned it a couple of weeks ago in a haul post, and I really have been loving it ever since. I love the color, and i love the comfy slouchy fit. I am on a quest to dress more casual, so this is a great first step for me. I paired it with a light creamy pink top by Steps and a simple white top from H&M. I am also wearing my Speedy  30 again. I love how this bag looks with lighter colored clothing. It's the ultimate bag for spring.

On my nails I am wearing Essie Fiji. This is probably my favorite nail polish right now. It's just such a clean and fresh look.  Love it!

On the bottom I'm wearing shimmery taupe ankle boots by SPM and blue velvet pants by Esprit. Yeah, velvet pants... I never would have willingly picked these out to be honest. I ordered them online and was under the impression I was ordering a  pair of jeans. When they came in I realised I made a mistake. I still thought they looked kinda cool though. And since they were on sale I decided to hang on to them. I do like the fact that they are something different.

So there you have it, my latest OOTD. Do you love pastels just as much as I do?

Fun With Helium!

We planned a babyshower this weekend for friends that are expecting their first child in a couple of weeks. We decided to decorate the location with some helium balloons, so we ordered a helium tank and some balloons a couple of weeks ago. We didn't end up using everything, so we still had some stuff left this afternoon. So... what were we to do? I mean, we weren't going to be mature about it and just safe it for another occasion, right? There's no fun in that! So we decided to use them as fly kites instead and have some fun in the sun with our little munchkin. We had a blast! So let me share some quick pictures of our Sunday afternoon!

I hope you all had wonderful weekend! Have a good week!

A Day at the Petting Zoo

Being a mom comes with alot of awsome perks. You get to go to Disneyland, you can get lost in the local ballpit and yes, you get to visit the petting zoo! Things you secretly loved to do anyway, but now you have an excuse to actually do those things without having people look at you like you're insane. So yeah, awesomeness! And getting to do those things with the coolest kid in the world makes it even better! On my days off I love to plan little activities like these for me and my daughter. It gives us some quality time together and I love see her learn and play.

So a couple of days ago I decided to visit the local petting zoo and I just couldn't get over the fact how kind and considered she was towards the animals. She talked to them, petted them and even tried to give out a little kiss here and there. But she did know what she did and did not like and she set some clear boundries that afternoon. At one point she spoke firmly to an unsuspecting turkey that was just minding it's own business about 14 feet away from us. Charlotte pointed her little finger at the turkey and said 'No chicken, you can't eat my mommy!'. I had to do my best to keep myself from laughing, it was so adorable! Charlote seemed so serious, and the turkey so uninpressed. Haha! But I guess it's good that she got that out of the way first. You know... just to be safe! :) We ended up having a lovely afternoon together. Making and documenting memories to last a lifetime.

So what activities do you love to do with your little one(s)?
